All Along The San Juan River Gallery
The rock painting of the serpent on the boulder was placed before the Pueblo III cliff dwelling was built around 1200 CE (Common Era) possibly by Basketmaker III-Pueblo I cultures. The white paintings of bighorn sheep are contemporary with the structure. River House is on the north side of the San Juan River west of Bluff, Utah. Just who were the Basketmakers? We'll talk about that soon. |
