| The pecked square head indicates a female god (Ye'i) of the night chant in Cuevo, or Crow, Canyon . The terraced ear flaps on opposite sides of the mask represent openings by which informing winds advise her (Haile, 1947). In the dance mask the flaps are painted white and the face blue. |
